A DRIFTING HALO
written by: Mark Tulin

The cool of the ocean
and the warmth of the heavens
come together
to form a slow-moving halo
that lingers in the misty atmosphere.

A welcoming celestial sheath
that grazes over the boats below,
and continues its journey
crossing mountaintops
of green and gold.

And when the hot sun appears
in the early afternoon
over a jagged Pacific coast,
the sunlight transforms this drifting halo
into a sky of Rembrandt blue.

Beautiful and lyrical at the same time. What imagery you project with your words, Mark!
