At the baptism,
I dipped you in sacred water
and lit the candle,
watching your flawed nature
turn clean and pure
under the flickering light.
Without a sliver of doubt,
you swam with dampened hair
past the bleeding Jesus on the crucifix
through the church’s stained glass window
into the colors of eternity.
Very thought provoking Mark

Thank you, Ivor. Kind of surreal like a Moody Blues song.
Very much so, well done Mark
Thanks, Ivor.
Beautiful

sweet words mixed with the reality of a spiritual experience
Thank you and much peace
Gorgeous, Mark!
Thanks, Jordy. Came from a recent Baptism I attended.
Inspirational indeed. Baptisms seem to always be moving. A soul blessed is a lovely happening. 😊
Yes, Jordy. The soul becomes tangible.
Lovely sight, Mark.😊🙏
Thanks.
wow……”into the colors of eternity” you left me wanting to read more, so good!
Thank you.
🙂 my pleasure!
Beautiful in its simplicity and so descriptive. That’s exactly how I felt at Scarlett’s baptism and when J.M. was baptized. I especially felt that as a Godmother to Miss Lauren. Thank you, Mark!
You’re welcome, Theresa. I felt a little different at my Baptism, however. I was an adult. A future story.
This is a riveting picture of the scandal of Grace.
Tyrmbre, I’m very intrigued by your c
(continued). Your comment intrigued me. Can you elaborate?
The thought of an Omnicient and Omipresent Godleaving His throne to become a slave, a King choosing the life of a commoner in order to save you, me… it always amazes me how God uses simple things or simple people to perform wonders. We are baptised and made clean by water through His Grace. Nothing of His is laboured for or earned. It’s just His Grace… We all know we don’t deserve it but He gives it just the same…
Well said. Thank you, Tyrmbre.
nice job i like it
Thanks, Teddy
