I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer living in Long Beach, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California.     Holy moly! I saw the movie based on those waves and the surf riders. Those waves were part of my worst nightmares. Thankfully I finally overcame them when I went to El Capitan State Beach and swam in the ocean with my brother and dolphins in the foam. Thanks for sharing this visually, stunning poem.
