Mark, I especially liked “The Heartfelt Catatonic” and “Truth’s Slippery Essence.” To me, these two poems are interconnected, revealing divergent ways in which “[our] version of reality / [can] slide from [our] grasp / into murky waters.” For the heartfelt catatonic, his reality of humankind’s dark soul holds him captive: “drooling dreams and memories / out of the corner of his mouth.”

Congratulations on your latest publications, Mark. I particuarly appreciate how your poetry gives a voice to the voiceless.
