From a Good Friend, by Mark Tulin
7/8/2020

Paul tried to get out of his funk. He wanted something positive to happen. He would not stop until he found a way out of his doldrums.

In the mail, he received a box with plain brown wrapping.

There was no return address except “From A Good Friend.”

He didn’t have many friends, especially during these hard times. He opened the mysterious box and was surprised to find darkness, like a night sky. The darkness felt strangely comforting, despite such an unusual offering.

Paul’s darkness made him realize that his funk was really a gift, and soon there’d be light.
