That Sneaking Suspicion, by Mark Tulin
15/5/2020
Dave distrusted his brother-in-law, Javon.
It’s not that Dave had a reason. It seemed odd to Dave that Javon had so much money for a guy who delivered bread for a living.
“Could it be he’s just a hard worker?” I asked.
“I don’t know,” said Dave, “I have a sneaking suspicion that he’s up to something.”
“Like what?
“Something criminal.”
“You think he’s a terrorist?”
“No, more like espionage.”
Dave's hunch came true when the FBI arrested Javon for being a Russian spy.
But Dave wasn’t happy.
“I was just starting to trust the guy."

I love the twist ending!
Thanks, Liz. 😊
You’re welcome, Mark.
