Ocean Whispers – a poem by Mark Tulin
I believe in the ocean.
I worship quietly
in her liquid comfort without fanfare,
in her smaller bodies of saltwater,
the inlets and the bays,
along her shoreline where seaweed
skids into a foamy paste,
exchanging a few sacred whispers,
a heavenly sun to illuminate her presence,
an impromptu hymn from the saints
to commemorate her lasting grace
and a succession of minor miracles
that pass slowly from one wave to the next.

This one resonates with me. I have always had a special connection with the sea.
It pulls us in to its world.
It definitely does.
Have a good weekend.
Be safe.
You as well. 🙂
So beautiful.
Thanks, Lucy.

The gentle waves of the ocean calm the most troubled soul!
Yes, it can. I was by the ocean today. It gives me the energy and hope to deal with this pandemic.
I can hear the ocean calling as I read this poem. Very visual.
Just there this morning. We’re getting our exercise in early.
Oh I admire that! That’s great, Mark. I did a walk on the treadmill in the little gym that’s here last night. I got up a good sweat. How I wish I could swim in the ocean.
Keep safe. 🙂
i feel like Moana or something- (singing) it calls me
