I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer living in Long Beach, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California.     My mother was the opposite – when she bemoaned her lack of talents in other directions we would say ‘but you are a good cook.’ We always had home made cake and she made Dad a rich fruitcake every week.
