Poem: Mountain View by Mark Tulin

It was not the search for enlightenment
In the foggy Santa Ynez mountains.
It wasnโ€™t the beauty of a panoramic view.

It was the solitude
That nurtured my soul,
The peace in my steps
On the dusty trail floor.

I was quietly listening
To the color of my hopes,
The vision in my heart.
I was deciding my future
In the landscape of unspoken words.
