Hmmm… i avoid labels because im none of any one thing. Besides labels cause division… one side believing they are better, holier, more loving. We need to learn to see. Willing to understand the background of how one came to be. Certainly sparked something and lots of interesting reactions politically that is disheartening. So little tolerance all around the spectrum.
Thanks for your input Jeanne. Point well taken. Without conflict, we will never grow, however. Without conflict, our country wouldn’t progress. What we don’t need is violence. I believe we could have conflict and division with an understanding of each other’s point of views.
i wrote a little more of what prompted all the thought and shared your post on my blog… perhaps it sheds a little more light on what i stated here. Perhaps being the key. Life is a journey. No need to beat ourselves up or others who disagree. I am never truly satisfied i am fully without a shadow. nor do i want that. i want to keep some individuality and dreams about me, regardless how others react or tell me differently.
For me politics becomes divisive when when it threatens the environment, when it threatens our freedoms, and when it can potentially endanger our lives. Other than that, we’re all pretty much the same. 😀
Both sides have valid points. I believe this is why more people are becoming independent of our system… artificial boundaries we are expected to accept in the midst of powerful corruption with little regard to what is needed… truth and compassion. No one political parties has any inkling of giving us real freedom. The freedom comes from taking the power back and learning to be open to others. Thanks for the conversation. I can see both sides have great ideas on how to help those in need. I disagree how it is done by bashing the other but that is human nature in full force…
