Much thanks to Spillwords Press for publishing Sympathy to Spare on August 27, 2020. This poem was triggered by a crying woman I met outside of CVS. It turned out that I knew her from a yoga class I took in Santa Barbara. I was glad that I could share some sympathy for a few minutes. Thanks to Jan Canty @ Unsplash for supplying the feature image.
