Check out this narrative of the most popular fast-food restaurant in California. “The Elves at In-N-Out” was published at The Narrative Collective. Featured image by Mark Tulin.

“There’s a rhythm in this fast food chain, a frenetic rock song that plays in my head long after I get my receipt—nervously waiting, hearing each number called as if I were waiting to win the California lottery.”

I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer from Palm Springs, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California. These are poetic narratives that may have humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry and stories resonate with you.

  1. That’s quite an ode to burger and fries!

  2. Wow, probably more price competition of burgers and fries 🍟🍔, welcome onboard.

  3. Ah yes, my favorite place to go when there’s nothing better. It’s the only fast food place I go to these days. No more McDonald’s for me – only In and Out. Thank you for your tribute to them!
