Big shoutout to Dead Poets Live for publishing this poem. This site features poems inspired by the poetry legends. Today, I’m remembering Yehuda Amichai with a poem entitled, “Poetry Reading at the JCC.” The JCC is an abbreviation for the Jewish Community Center.
Excellent.. also enjoyed the pretty music in beginning.
Thank you. 🙂
A very moving poem and performance.
Thank you, Liz.
I’ve been saying Never Again since I first heard of it at the age of ten – the Shoah, though what my child’s ears heard was shower, an impression supported by footage of showerheads in death chambers, installed to induce a false sense of security in victims, by seeming to confirm that there were there to be showered. Everyone agreed back then. Never Again. What I can’t understand is that, when I say it now, it too often falls on deaf ears.
Well said, Paul. I have the same sentiments.
