I dug out this selection from the archives. This poem was originally published in elephant journal over four years ago, and later recorded on YouTube. It is one of the many random encounters I had with the homeless in California, which is in epidemic proportions. Fortunately, our amazing governor, Gavin Newsom, is seriously addressing the issue. Reblogged this on The Reluctant Poet.
