Homeless Poetry YouTube Poem

Video Poem: I Only Want People to Look at Me, by Mark Tulin

I dug out this selection from the archives. This poem was originally published in elephant journal over four years ago, and later recorded on YouTube. It is one of the many random encounters I had with the homeless in California, which is in epidemic proportions. Fortunately, our amazing governor, Gavin Newsom, is seriously addressing the issue. I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer from Palm Springs, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California. These are poetic narratives that may have humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry and stories resonate with you.
