A major shoutout to The Lark on Medium.com for publishing Biking Through Hot Sands. Biking has become my exercise of choice in the last year, replacing Hatha Yoga. And when I moved to Palm Springs a few months ago, I discovered many fun and challenging trails. This poem reflects my experience behind the handlebars and the mindfulness of my surroundings. The featured image is by yours truly. Enjoy. And please come back if the Crow On The Wire podcast is not up yet on Spotify.
I like your poem very much. I’ve been thinking about getting my bike out again. I always enjoyed a good bike ride.
Good. I hope the poem inspired you.
The poem is good motivation to get back to exercising after several stressful sedentary months.

Wow Mark!! Spent one night in Indio on the way home to Texas from Sacramento recently – you traded the coast for the desert? Must have been an urgent need??? The heat is enough to turn you into a night owl! Ha! π€£ππ
Yes, very unexpected. The amazing thing is I like the heat now. Even when it gets to 118, itβs dry. Although I spend much of my time in an air conditioned room writing. ππ¦πͺ
To each their own. Not for me. I spend most of my time in A/C too. That heat makes me feel like being in a sauna or having a blow dryer in my face! LOL π€£π€£ππ
I hear you, Chuck. Itβs funny. Itβs 118 and i go for a swim. I come out, and itβs freezing. πππ
Very creative!
Thank you. π
Thank you for your impacting share Mark!π
