This is a new site with a silly name, although I happen to love tuna fish. Check out their first issue on Celebrations and my poem, “I’ll Never Have a Pity Party.”

I’ll Never Have a Pity Party

I’ll never have a pity party, or celebrate my demise,
teeth gnawing on pulled hearts strings
I’ll never go down dark corridors of solemnity,
as if I were so indispensable
No one should be on a pedestal,
flanked by a bleeding heart
It’s only a lack of time
that’s deceiving
before discovering a fanciful idol’s
imperfection
I will not weep
because I am too old and wise
to collect tears of sorrow
for past mistakes
that long since passed.

I won ‘t weep either and I’ll check them out. Another fellow writer recommended them recently too.
