Carl grew up without a father and often imagined having one. He watched TV shows from the 60s like The Andy Griffith Show. That’s how a father is supposed to act, Carl figured, taking your son fishing and teaching him right from wrong. One day Carl got married and had a son. He used Andy of Mayberry as a role model, and took his son fishing, taught him manners and how to be a good citizen. The trouble was, Carl never learned how to be a good husband. I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer living in Long Beach, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California. These are poetic narratives that may have humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry and stories resonate with you. My books include Magical Yogis, Uncommon Love Stories, Awkward Grace, Junkyard Souls, and Rain on Cabrillo.
