WordFest Anthology 2019–Jasmine Waters by Mark Tulin

Theme of Water. WordFest Anthology. Waco Cultural Arts Fest in Waco, Texas

I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer from Palm Springs, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California. These are poetic narratives that may have humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry and stories resonate with you.

  1. Congratulations on your publication! Your poem reminded me of how my little brother liked to play “high seas” in the bathtub. I particularly like how the poem then takes the speaker further out into the waters of the past and where he began in his mother’s womb.

    • Thank you Liz. I had intended to do a reading at the word fest last year but got the flu. I’ve heard the art fest is a fun time. 🙂🙂
