Poem: Dog Feels Man

My dog keeps me warm

From cold streets.

When I tremble

He protects me.

When I’m scared

He stays by my side.

Cuddles when I need love

And I can’t give it.

My dog pulls me

When I can’t move.

He guides me

When I can’t see.

Cries when I can’t cry.

Gets angry when I’ve given up.

A brother, a companion

A soul mate.

I write and take pictures about a variety of topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia, to my years as a family therapist, and finally to my soul-searching years in California. The things that move me may have a humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry, pictures and stories resonate with you.
