Confession Sunday: On Being a Baby by Mark Tulin

I was an innocent baby, but I wasn’t very cute.

I am an author, poet, humorist, and short story writer from Palm Springs, California. I write about various topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia to my years as a family therapist and finally to my soul-searching in California. These are poetic narratives that may have humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry and stories resonate with you.

  1. Your squishy little face
    Your grumpy little frown
It looked like someone took your smile
    And turned it upside-down!

  2. AW! 👶You look so determined! 🧗‍♂️No one can stop you! 🛑You will accomplish anything you want to do! ☺😎😊

  3. Don’t be harsh with yourself…..you just looked a bit grumpy.
When my daughter number two was born was underweight and when my mom saw her for the first time couldn’t really hide her shock….and started to blabbing”she is …she is …she is …soooo”I think she really tried to say cute but only word that got out her mouth was”she is shrinking, like a tadpole”🤷🏻‍♀️At least she was not green🤣
