Poem: Women’s Shoe Department

Waiting in Norstrom

for my wife

in the women’s shoe department

is like taking a treacherous journey

through the Amazon rainforest

without a tour guide,

not sure what I might find,

not sure if I’ll come back

Freelance writer, poet, yogi and photographer from Santa Barbara, California. I write and take pictures about a variety of topics, from my early childhood in Philadelphia, to my years as a family therapist, and finally to my soul-searching years in California. The things that move me may have a humorous or serious content or both. Either way, I hope my poetry, pictures and stories resonate with you.

  1. be careful, I hear it’s all snakes and socks..

  2. People’s lives end in shoe shops, careless words, the odd frown, hasty advice, and your dead 🙂

  3. Hm. You’re alive! 🙂

  4. Ah come on! Like all men you will survive!
