It’s been a week now. Still surrounded by wildfires in Santa Barbara. The sky keeps changing colors. The sun, when visible, is an ominous red-orange. The mask that I wear still wraps tightly around my face. Smoke and ash are everywhere.
As the California fire keeps burning, so do my poems.
So does the soul; keep burning, and churning, to pieces, and ashes and finally it succumbs, to the unearthly treaches..
You’ve got that man! Well done 👍
powerful piece, Mark.
We lived in Ventura for many years. I am sorry for what has happened. Thoughts and prayers are being sent that direction.
Thank you. your prayers are much appreciated
Awww…I hope things are back to normal now. Take care though. The smoke could cause many respiratory problems.
Things are improving. I still wear a mask when I’m outdoors. Thanks for the reminder about respiratory issues.
Oh well. Take vitamin-c and eat food that are rich in vitamin-c in order to boost your immune system.
Will do, thanks!
