Poem: Flying Cow

White cow in the blue sky

Overlooking Milpas Avenue

And the mountains so high.

Wish I could milk you,

graze you in the fields.

But I know you’re not real,

Just plaster and wire inside.

I know you can’t moo or chew grass.

I know you have no milk

Or wings to fly.

Or calves to bare.
