There is no mystery in being a therapist. Believe me, I was one. Although it does take a lot of self-reflection and self-control–it’s really not that complicated. It’s almost like being a Buddhist where you have to focus on your internal workings and the more you are in control over your inner-self the better you will relate to the world and make a positive impact on others; and like the famous messiah once said, “Be a light unto the world.” Being a therapist involves a lot of loving kindness and a strong focus on helping others. Some of my favorite people are not therapists but have a true therapist spirit–strong sensitivity and the desire to help others be the best that they can be.
